Carry The Wood

Eeek! I love this album. The Teeth is not my favorite band name in the world, but with these guys it’s the only thing I can complain about. This six track CD has surprised me. The songs are simple, catchy and have a very whimsical Bowie-esque feel. This combined with songs titles like "Mercy Mercy Pudding Pie" and "Oh Bessie!" makes Carry the Wood an easy album to like (although a secret little part of me thinks it might be love). In fact, there’s absolutely nothing not to love about this album and what little I can tell about the four guys, Peter, Aaron, Brian and Jonas. My personal favorite track is "I Love You." It’s as simple as it sounds and certainly makes you want to love something. In its entirety, this is as fun and sincere as an album can be. Who knew music like this could come out of Pennsylvania? I can’t wait to check them out live. –TVA
